Requesting a Quote
Like what you see? The first step is to request a quote via email. You will received a reply back within 1-2 business days. Be sure to include the following information:
•
Name
• Wedding or Event Date
• Colour(s)
• Number of invitations and reply cards required
• Finishing touches you are interested in
• Any details you think are important to mention regarding the look and feel of your event
Appointment
After receiving the quote, the next step is to set up an appointment at the Laura K Design studio. Together with Laura, you can view printed samples of her beautifully different invitations. This discussion is typically 1 hour.
Design Process
You can either choose an existing design and customize it by changing the colours, fonts and paper, or, Laura can work with you to start from scratch on something unique.
After the initial meeting, most correspondence will be done via email and phone. Laura will send colour PDF proofs for your approval. Additional meetings will be scheduled if needed to verify colours and paper options.
We suggest starting the creative process 4-6 months before your wedding — however, rush orders can be accommodated.
For other events, such as showers, anniversaries, birthdays and corporate events, the creative process should start 1-2 months prior. |
Printing Process
All Laura K invitations and cards, with the exception of Laura K Baby, are printed offset with Pantone colours. We choose to use this printing method because of its high quality and colour consistency: many of the designs created by Laura K use full colour coverage, and offset printing produces the best results. In addition, many of the colours used can only be achieved with the Pantone matching system.
The Laura K Baby collection designs are printed on a high quality digital printer that uses wax-based inks. Shimmery paper is used to give them a whimsical and fun feel.

Laura K Design offers 3 standard paper options in white or natural white:
• Matte
• Linen
• Shimmery
Custom options are available.
Contract and Payment
A 50% deposit is required when the contract is signed. The balance is due when you pick up your invitations. We accept Visa, debit and cheque.
